Creating a group
A group is a real class that meets at a place and time. You start one from a program, which decides who's allowed to join.
Create one
- Select New group — from the Groups view, or from a program's own page.
- Fill in the details:
- Program (required) — the program this group runs from. Only active programs appear here.
- Name (required) — what this group is called, for example "Tuesday Morning Group."
- Location (optional) — where it meets.
- Schedule note (optional) — free text for when it meets, like "Mondays 2–3 pm" or "every other Tuesday."
- Select Create group.
Your new group opens with its three tabs ready: Roster, Sessions, and Attendance.
What's next
- Enroll your first participants onto the roster.
- Create sessions and take attendance as the group meets.
Change details later
Location and schedule can be edited anytime with the group's Edit button — start the group now and fine-tune the details as plans firm up.
